Dr Tam Nguyen is a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon who was originally trained in Brisbane and Sydney before settling down with his young family in the Illawarra area where he has been since 2015.

Tam currently consults and operates in the Wollongong and Shoalhaven regions, with his local private rooms at the Vascular Care Centre located on Crown Street.

Throughout his career he has worked in major vascular and trauma centres both nationally and internationally. During Tam’s employment at Liverpool Hospital he held the position of Clinical Superintendent, Liverpool is one of the leading teaching hospitals in the country.

Tam has extensive experience and knowledge in the most recent minimally invasive techniques in all areas of vascular surgery and believes that keeping up to date with all the latest technology and treatment options is essential to providing the best care possible to all his patients. Most recently he travelled to the US to be specially trained in the cutting edge treatment modalities for endoluminal atherectomy which he has a keen interest in.
